This is the end of a 12-part series in the Japan Journeys about my journey to Iwate village in Iwate country in Iwate prefecture – in northeastern Japan.
I would encourage your to get off the beaten track in Japan. Even thought Kyoto Nara and Tokyo are well worth visiting – there is so much to see beyond the tourism hubs!
The visit to the Fall annual festival that happens at the end of September or first weekend of October each year.
Something people may enjoy about Festivals is not just finding the new and different but also finding the common themes or customs we have. 
The meanings may vary but talking about these can bring us together, as we enter into dialogue we can better understand each other.
These bring us together just as people, no matter where we are from and we can enjoy more than the atmosphere but the sharing of the experience.
